Ajaxx Restoration is a 24/7 water, fire, mold and storm damage restoration company based at 206 E Huron St in Ann Arbor, MI, serving Washtenaw, Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Call us and we can often be on site within a few hours.
A person answers, day or night. We ask what got wet, where the water came from and how long it has been running. That tells us which equipment to load and whether the water is clean (IICRC Category 1), gray (Category 2) or sewage (Category 3).
We can often be on site within a few hours. The tech walks the space with a moisture meter and a thermal camera, marks where the water travelled, and photographs everything before touching it. Then extraction starts. Air movers and dehumidifiers go in the same visit. Most rooms are typically dry in 3 to 5 days, and we take moisture readings every day until they are.

We find the moisture source first, then contain the area, remove what is growing and dry it so it stays gone. Mold estimates are free.
Most of the calls we get in Southeast Michigan come from a handful of causes. Spring storms knock out power and the sump pump stops. Clay soil holds water against basement walls for days after heavy rain. Freeze-thaw cycles split pipes in outside walls and over garages. And older homes in Ann Arbor, Detroit and the inner suburbs often have clay sewer laterals that crack or fill with roots, so the floor drain backs up during the next big storm.
We see these patterns every season, so we know where to look for hidden water: under the bottom plate of basement walls, behind finished paneling, under vinyl plank floors and inside the cavities next to the water heater.
Ajaxx Restoration is an IICRC Certified Firm, an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm and a member of the Restoration Industry Association. We work with all insurance companies. Adjusters want photos, a cause of loss, moisture readings and a drying log; we keep all four from the first visit and share them with you.
